AHEPA District 10 Celebrates Service and Legacy at KEFI Night for the Hellenic Museum

The AHEPA District 10 Lodge hosted a successful KEFI Night in support of the Hellenic Museum of Michigan, blending Hellenic culture, fellowship, and philanthropy. The event featured music, dancing, and meaningful recognition of distinguished AHEPANs whose contributions continue to shape the future of the Order.
District Governor Othon Economopoulos and Lieutenant Governor Merek Vincent with James Thomas presented the 2025 Lifetime Service Awards, honoring Brothers who have demonstrated unwavering commitment to AHEPA’s mission over decades. The 2025 honorees included: Nickolas Vlahopoulos. Dimitri Pallas, Anthony Niharos, Tom Laskaris, Hon. James Kandrevas, Harry Saites, John Lygizos, Peter Rageas, Zissis Vagiates, Dr. Chris Zingas, Fr. Mark Sietsema, Evan Houpis, Dr. David Nichols, George Theodorou, Fr. Paul Patitsas, Tom Javarinis,Chris Petrouleas and Nikola Maodus
In addition, several special recognitions were conferred as Brother Othon Economopoulos was honored by James Thomas for his lifetime of cultural preservation as the last active Evzone of the historic Detroit Evzone Society. Brother Spyros Politis received the Praeclarus Dignitarius award and title for his enduring service to the Detroit Parade, Evzone Corps, and AHEPA. Brother Konstantinos Stathis was awarded the People’s Archon Award in recognition of his unparalleled leadership and enduring commitment to the District and its Educational Foundation as Past Chairman. Joanne Dau was recognized for her three years of exemplary service as District Governor, a tenure marked by tireless dedication. Craig Theros received an award and commendation for his work by Brother James Thomas supporting the Milk for Flint initiative, continuing AHEPA’s mission of civic responsibility and compassion.
Monies were raised at the event to support the Hellenic Museum of Michigan and its mission to preserve and celebrate Hellenic heritage.
